Could be time for Fred’s first ever vet visit other than the annual check-up (though one annual check-up coincided with him getting hit by a car).

Andre
Today, Andre Dawson will go into the Hall of Fame. Like any Cubs fan who was of an impressionable age in 1987, Andre Dawson has a permanent place in my heart. As an objective baseball fan, I can acknowledge that based on on-field accomplishments, he’s among the least qualified people ever to go into the Hall of Fame without a ticket.
But I’ve fully bought into the Andre Dawson is a great guy idea, so I like to pretend we’re friends. And as his friend, I’m happy for him today. Here’s a video on Dawson’s epic 1987 season, his first on the Cubs. Playing for a team that had virtually no redeeming value, Andre Dawson was the best player in baseball. He was the MVP despite playing on a last place team, hopefully the last time that ever happens in baseball.
