That’s a Burger
Went to That’s a Burger over the weekend, a south side burger joint that gets raves from burger lovers. The highlight of the trip was the food. The lowlight was discovering that a friend’s baby girl is likely a vegetarian.
The seemingly 1/4 pound patties are cooked to order and mine was very good. Nothing exceptional, just a relatively thin, perfectly cooked chunk of properly salted ground beef. The fries were also a winner – very well seasoned with a mystery ingredient, though they were barely crispy which was a problem. If I were in the neighborhood, I’d stop by, but unless I move a lot closer to South Shore, I fear that may not happen again. That’s the problem with living in a city with so many outstanding burger options I suppose. So this may have been my final visit to That’s a Burger. Too bad; I’ll miss the place.
Here are some pics:
Being the kind soul that I am, I thought I would introduce a friend’s 5-week-old daughter to the joys of burgers. Judging by her reaction, I think it’s safe to say the child is going to be a vegetarian:
