But Can They Get Pizza Delivered There?

The legal war over who can vote in Ohio is finally settled. At least for now.

Viva Mexico

I made two outstanding discoveries in my new neighborhood over the weekend. First, I found a burrito joint that is on par with La Pasadita, and it’s only about six blocks from my house. On Montrose, just west of Lincoln, sits Taqueria El Asadero. Like La Pasadita, the burrito consists of a fresh tortilla filled with a mountain of meet, cilantro and onions. The difference is that at Taqueria El Asadero, the meat is cooked only after you order your burrito. When La Pasadita is busy, you’ll get meat that’s just as fresh, but oftentimes the meat is cooked long before you walk in the door.

The second discovery was during my first trip to the local CVS. My new neighborhood has a good-sized Mexican community, so I wasn’t surprised to see Jarritos at the CVS, but I was ecstatic to discover that Mexican Coke is available just 2 blocks from my house. NAFTA rules!

Kids in Chesterfield, MO Invent New Game

Apparently, a few kids at Parkway West Middle School in Chesterfield, MO decided to engage in some community-building activities last week, which they called Spirit Week. Unfortunately, not everyone

Up first was “Hug a Friend Day,” which was followed with “High Five Day.” Tired of the such niceties, the kids shifted their focus. Up next was “Hit a Tall Person Day,” which apparently went unnoticed by the faculty. The next one, which was this past Monday, was a game we’ve all played at one time or another: “Hit a Jew Day.” None of the kids complained, and apparently only 3 or 4 out of 35 were actually hit, but a Jewish parent called to complain and then the town became famous.

In what should be a surprise to absolutely nobody, Catholicism is the most common religion in Chesterfield.
